Task: Explor the Northeast section of the Underworld.
Attending:
Sir Aidan
Sir Kenway
Ikon
As our numbers grow I feel we can now take the time to start exploring the Underworld as well as the Abyss. Sir Aidan, Ikon and myself, Sir Kenway, meet at Hell Gate and took the tunnels to Aidan's Twin Towers, the Tower of the Gazer and thw Tower of The Gargoyle. We reached the surface there and cleared the area of the Gazers that seem to guard the entrance to the Underworld. As usual we were meet by Cultist immediately upon entering. Along with various other denziens. The journey down to the entrance of the Abyss has become familiar by now and I will not spend to much time on it in future reports.
We reached the point where we would normally turn and head down to the Abyss, this time we kept marching forward and entered marbled halls, though the were in disarray. We again fought Cultists and Gargoyles before making our way through a broken wall and into a much older section of the Underworld. We found what we assumes was a throne room, the floor broken in sections. We also found a what looked like a lava chute leading from near some thrones, we followed it to a great drop off that was a dead end for us but perhaps, for a winged gargoyle, it was an escape route. We then explored the rest of the room which was centered around a huge fountain.
We had dealt with a few various gargoyles up to this point but not a Balron set upon us along with more gargoyles. We were able to defeat the group and continued exploring. I found what looked like a treasury while Sir Aidan and Ikon found what looked like a alchemists workshop, disturbingly it included a pair of small cells. We continued to explore and came upon a ankh set off by itself. From there we could see a waterfall and the pool of water it fell into. Surronded by green grass and plants. Another surprise we did not expect so deep underground. We debated if we could reach it and decided to give it a try. It was surprisingly close, the swerving tunnels taking us there in mere moments. It was a refreshing sight and we paused to enjoy and then discuss these strange pockets of healthy life we keep finding, first the secret garden and now this waterfall and pond.
We set off once again and discovered another large room that seemed dedicated to crafting and also the mystic arts. We looked around for a good amount of timebefore calling it a day and returning to Hell Gate.
